Pacific Biosciences software overview

Pacific Biosciences includes four software packages with the PacBio® System:

RS Remote

• Use RS Remote to create runs that you select from the instrument. You also use RS Remote to monitor instrument runs. When you create a run, you can specify that primary analysis data is fed directly into a secondary analysis job.

RS Touch

• Use RS Touch from the instrument touchscreen to select a run, load the instrument, and then start the run.

SMRT Portal

• Use SMRT Portal to create and run secondary analysis jobs using primary analysis data generated by the instrument.

SMRT View

• Use SMRT View (a whole genome browser) to visualize secondary analysis data generated by SMRT Portal, using primary analysis data generated by the instrument.
