Downloading Support Files to send to Pacific Biosciences Technical Support

Pacific Biosciences Technical Support might ask you to provide support files for troubleshooting purposes. From SMRT Portal, you can download support files in compressed .tgz format.

To download SMRT Analysis support files and job-specific files to send to PacBio Support

  1. On the View Data page, double-click a job whose support files you want to download. The Reports page displays.

  2. Click the Tech Support Files link:
    SMRT Portal downloads one .tgz-format compressed file containing both the job-specific files and the SMRT Analysis support files, based on your browser settings.

 

Note: The following are available to Administrators only.

To download only SMRT Analysis support files to send to PacBio Technical Support  (Administrators only)

  1. Click the Tech Support Files link at the top of the screen:
    SMRT Portal downloads a .tgz-format compressed file containing the SMRT Analysis support files, based on your browser settings.

To specify which files to include in the compressed archive (Administrators only)

  1. Click Admin > Change Settings.

  2. Look under Select job-specific files to provide to PacBio Tech Support. You see a scrolling list of files.

  3. To exclude a file from the archive, select it and click Remove.

  4. To add files to the archive: Click Add, then specify a standard file-name pattern ("glob") or a specific file, relative to the directory where the selected job is located.

  5. Click OK. The new file-name pattern (or file) is added to the scrolling box.

  6. Look under Select SMRT Analysis global files to provide to PacBio Tech Support and follow the same procedure. To add a new pattern or file, specify it relative to the installation directory.
