Importing raw data from SMRT Cells for analysis

Note: You must be logged in as a scientist or administrator to perform this function.

You can specify the paths SMRT Portal searches to find new SMRT Cell primary analysis data to be used in creating secondary analysis jobs. This is useful when:

• You need to manually import primary analysis data.
• Primary analysis data was moved after it was generated.

To manually scan for SMRT Cell data

1. Click Design Job, then click Import and Manage.
2. Click Import SMRT Cells.
3. Click a file path in the list.
4. Click Scan. Any new data found at the location displays in the SMRT Cells Available table on the Design Job screen. You can then include those additional SMRT Cells in a new or existing job.

To add a new file path

1. Click Design Job, then click Import and Manage.
2. Click Import SMRT Cells.
3. Click Add.
4. Enter the path and click OK.

To remove a file path

1. Click Design Job, then click Import and Manage.
2. Click Import SMRT Cells.
3. Click a path in the list.
4. Click Remove.
